![]() I tried the RAM in a used TS-871 and TVS-871, within a few days, same symptoms. I finally swapped out the RAM and all the problems miraculously disappeared. torrent file that did not fail the hash check, a lot of my torrents were coming up as corrupt, etc. I had this exact problem, bad RAM was fudging up my RAID array - especially during monthly RAID scrubbing, NAS would reboot during large file downloads, I could never create a. ![]() So their conclusion is ZFS is always safer than Non-ZFS for your data just as ECC is always safer than Non-ECC. ![]() Edit: I think I might add that in the extremely unlikely scenario of bad RAM making your NAS think a good block is bad, and then bad RAM incorrectly reading good block from your RAID redundancy, it won't overwrite anything.
